…Okay, so here it goes.  I’m a pack-rat.  There, I admit it!

I have a very difficult time letting things go…and when I say “things,” I mean it literally. It makes me a bit sad (and kinda relieved at the same time) to let go of some of these things. For example, I still held on to a crapload of clothes from my middle school days because I felt guilty for letting them go. Guilty, how so, you may ask? …I understood early on that my momma was always struggling to buy us clothes, toys and food, and I’ve always tried really hard to not take those things for granted. One way of doing so was to keep them…để kỷ niệm.

My mother finally confronted me about my problem.

“Tại sao con còn để dành mấy đồ linh tinh vậy? Con phải sắp xếp gọn lại! Đồ của con lộn xộn quá!”

I kinda told my momma why I kept those things.  She laughed at me and thought I was such a silly girl.

“Your butt doesn’t fit in these jeans anymore! Give em’ to me so that I can donate them to Chùa!

Man, what if Gwilym of Many Conquests’ genetic sequence didn’t exist? What would the world be like?

It didn’t occur to me that the way my apartment is directly facing an incoming street (at the fork of a road) is bad feng shui.  Ever since Malina brought this up, a series of unfortunate events began to unravel as I finished up the academic year and began my summer break.  

It all began with my slashed tires at the very beginning of finals week.  After a night out at Tahoe’s Restaurant in LA for a friend’s birthday, my friend offered me his parking spot in his garage for the night.  The next day, I went out to find the front tires entirely flat.  Another friend of mine who lived in the same building had her apartmentmate help me change to my spare tire.  Long story short, the bill for new tires came out to be around $500…My car was due for a tire change anyways….

That same week, I tripped over a cement block and sprained my ankle, a couple of days before my last final on Friday.  Instead of going to the doctors immediately after it happened, I waited it out until after I took my final.  I had to hop on one foot to get to my final since I didn’t have crutches at the time.  I’ve been on crutches for two weeks now and I’m not allowed to drive since I’ll be a hazard on the road.  I missed out on EDC because of this too =(

Father’s Day Weekend: I found out I have a long-lost sibling that I never knew of.  Apparently he called our house randomly one day to reveal to us his identity and that he’s been searching for us for a long time.  I’m still not sure what to make of this.

This Week: The Education Abroad Programs Office and the UCLA Financial Aid office notifies me that I owe them $625 because they disbursed my scholarship money of $625 twice…a mistake that they made. Now I have to pay for it.  

Today: I check my online bank account it’s been frozen because fraudulent activity has been detected.  Someone in Illinois spent about $700 at Macy’s, Banana Republic, and GAP with my credit card.  

Conveniently, I just moved out of my apartment this past weekend, and I will be home all summer, chillin’ like a villain.  Hit me up!

…I forgot the username and password of my old blog. Yes, it’s been that long since the last time I logged in.

My “commitment issues” are not only limited to my social spheres and relationships, but it has taken a toll on my presence (or the lack thereof) within the blogging world. I have difficulties with commitment and consistency. There, I said it.

I guess it feels good to start anew on a clean slate though. Hopefully with all the time that I have this summer, I’ll be able to be more consistent with my blog and develop it in a way that reflects the person that I’ve become… now that I am supposedly at the crux of adulthood…
